Ocneba

Georgian Cuisine / Restaurant / Packaged Food
Our goal was to create a warm and memorable identity for Ocneba — a Georgian food brand that brings together a restaurant experience and a collection of traditional products. The name means “dream” in Georgian, and we connected that feeling not with fantasy, but with the memory of a generous table: familiar aromas, handmade food and the kind of hospitality that makes people want to return. The key challenge was to present Georgian cuisine without relying on predictable tourist imagery. The brand needed to feel traditional without becoming museum-like, warm without appearing rustic, and authentic while remaining accessible to an international audience. The identity also had to work consistently across very different formats — from restaurant signage and interiors to khinkali packaging, cheese labels, takeaway materials and digital communication.
The central symbol is a graceful Georgian hostess carrying a covered dish. Her dress subtly echoes the folded shape of khinkali, turning a familiar national food into an elegant and memorable visual metaphor. The character represents care, generosity and the ritual of welcoming guests, while the expressive wordmark draws inspiration from the rhythm and distinctive forms of Georgian lettering. A palette of deep brown, warm gold, soft cream and baked orange reflects natural ingredients, dough, cheese and the warmth of a traditional kitchen. Circular label structures, tactile paper textures and restrained illustrations connect the restaurant with the packaged product line. The system extends across menus, interiors, signage, cheese packaging, khinkali labels, delivery materials and social media. The result is a cohesive brand world where Georgian tradition is not staged for display — it is prepared, served and shared.
