Ponch

Donuts / Coffee / Fast Casual / Food & Beverage
Our goal was to create a bold and contemporary identity for Ponch — a donut brand designed to stand out in a category often dominated by the same visual codes: frosting, sprinkles, pastel colors and conventional food photography. The key challenge was to turn the donut from a simple product into a character and an emotional part of the brand experience. The identity had to feel playful, warm, slightly quirky and instantly recognizable while remaining flexible enough for packaging, social media, outdoor advertising and retail environments.
At the heart of the identity is a distinctive illustrated character with an exaggerated nose and a bold blue beard. The main idea comes alive through the packaging: the real donut becomes a continuation of the illustration, visually completing the character’s face. The product itself becomes part of the brand communication before it is even eaten. The visual system combines simple geometric shapes, expressive illustration, a vibrant color palette and playful custom typography. Different flavors can introduce new colors, personalities and moods while still belonging to one consistent and recognizable world. Ponch is a brand where the donut is not just the product. It becomes the character.
